Mount Voras or Kaimaktsalan is located in Pella prefecture 54 km from the city of Edessa with its beautiful waterfalls. The Kaimaktsalan Ski Center operates from early November until early May. It is known as one of the few ski resorts in Greece with such a long duration of snow. There are many miles of ski slopes of different levels of difficulty. Voras (2524 meters) is the third highest mountain in Greece, the first one is Olympus (2,917 meters) and the second Smolikas (2637 meters). Kaimaktsalan is the highest area of winter sports in Greece as its facilities beginning at 2.018m. and ending at 2.480m. The ski center that is operating at Mount Vora attracts friends of skiing and winter sports in general.
